MBO Cinema Experience

This is my first visit to MBO cinema in Harbour Place, Klang. I must say this cinema is pretty outdated compare to the other cinemas in Klang Valley.. The screen and sound quality was pretty bad (feels like olden days Ruby cinema).

Can you imagine the poster for this movie is still up on display on their light box.

I guess their business is quite slow that's why they have closed their ticket counter and incorporated it with their popcorn counter together.

I have never seen a cinema ticket in soft paper print out for so long... Overall for this cinema experience i would rate a 3 out of 10.

Retro Kitchen @ SS2, PJ

Finger-Licking Good Food ... @_@

I was introduce to this fabulous place by my friends. They accidentally stumble upon this place while surfing online looking for a place with great food and nice environment.. TA-DAH..! they found Retro Kitchen on Facebook (hahahha..this is the 1st time that we have found a food place in FB). This new found treasure place is located in the heart of bustling township of SS2 (on the 1st floor of 7-11 same row as Island cafe)

This place has a wide collection of oldies (from disc -to - pictures - to - decorative items). They only aired ever-green songs back in the lates 80's and 90's

Don't forget to check out their cool collection of beer jugs / glass.

They even serve my favourite drinks.. Stewarts ! hahhaha...isn't its heavens..

Here come's the best part....our food...!!!

Firstly we order their "Snow Jelly"...

(i know its a bit way early for dessert...but we have sweet tooth, can't resist the temptation)

I would give this dessert a rank of 5 out of 10. It's nice but too milky for our taste. The jelly is a bit tasteless even with the sprinkle of the lime juice. 

Then came our "Chicken Soup"

For this i would give a rank of 7 out of 10. Their chicken soup is quite nice but its still a far cry compare to their mushroom soup (their mushroom soup is so delicious and superb...a must try thing!)

Next came our 1st main course "Pork Meat Ball Spaghetti"

For this i would give a rank of 9 out of 10. I have always see beef meatballs. Never have i came across pork meatballs. This dish is super yummy...the meatball is so juicy and delicious. A must try item for pork lovers !

Our 2nd main course "Trio Pizza"

For this i would give a rank of 10 out of 10. It has 3 different types of mushroom... The pizza really-really-really so delicious. For a small-timer like this place, i must say i am impress with their food quality as its not easy to make a good quality pizza (did i forget to mentioned..this pizza only cost RM 17++)

Our last main course "Fettuccine Cabonara "

For this i would give a rank of 10 out of 10 also. what can i say ..'i am speechless'.. too delicious to describe. You must try it for yourself to decide and describe!

For all the food delicacies that we ordered, the bill only come up to RM 56.40. (average about RM 18.80 per person. There were 3 of us). 

3 sentence to sum it all up ..  Reasonable price, Good food, Excellent environment

Fabulous Finds - September Goodies

Yippie..It's Finally here....!!

To be honest so far, all the Fabulous Finds boxes that i received have been amazing and surprising. But this time round, the September goodies are the best....Check out what i have received...!

I started to try out all the items one by one since yesterday night...

To wipe away the remaining Monday blues, I started off with Elizabeth Arden Elizabeth Arden (Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules And Gold Ultra Lift And Strengthening Eye Capsules) for my night time skin care regime. I love the texture so much and its not very oily. good for combination skin. Helps to address the signs of aging by strengthening skin's barrier with the power of CLX complex. 

This item is price at RM 116.20 and its a full size item !

I started my Tuesday Morning,  with a fresh hair wash using Clairol Professional colour radiance shampoo and Visible Repair Intensive Mask. Infuse with passion fruit and orange peel lipids, the shampoo feels fresh and energizing. Good for color hair! 

Next, I dress up myself with colors using Essence duo eye shadow and long lasting lip gloss.  I particularly like the eye shadow color. It's easy to apply and sharp. 

The eye shadow is price at RM8.90 and the gloss is at RM10.90 (both are full size item too)

Lastly, I scent myself with Narciso Rodriguez EDT.  I love this scent so much...it smells so sensual and floral. Not a very heavy smell just smooth and nice.

The whole box is worth more than RM 136 and i only pay RM35 for it. 

Isn't it a FABULOUS FIND  for this month!

I am so in love with beauty box now...!!!! can't wait for next month box to arrive...

My 'Ang Ku' Class

Don't play-play...Home made 'Ang Ku' k... ^_^

I was so delighted and excited when my friend invited me over weekend to their Sunday church where they have an 'Ang Ku' making class which was conducted by her mother in law. I brought 'ang ku fans' along (which is my hubby and my mom) to the class in SDAC Church in Sunway Damansara. (just next to Rhimba Hills development)

Recipe :
1. Glutinous rice floor (500 gm)
2. Warm water (about 2 cups )
3. Cooking oil (about 1/2 cup)
4. Pandan leaf extract (1/2 cup) - for colouring purpose
5. angku mould
6. banana leaft
7. brush
8. steamer and steamer pots
9. fillings - depends on what do you like (you can have green paste, lotus paste or red bean paste)

The ingredients

open up the floor on a big plate and then slowly add in little bit of water and panda extract. 

Don't pour in all water..add in bit by bit and mixed well till you get a desire dough

when the desire dough is ready, add in oil and mixed again. Once the dough does not stick on the hand anymore means its ready. transfer the dough on to table top and work on it for a while more (roughly 3 mins) for it to really blend

Take a small amount of the dough (roughly 30 gm), make it into a ball and flatten it

scoop the filling and make it into a ball as well (about 20 gm) and place it in the center of the flatten dough.

Close the dough. make sure the filling is all fully covered by the dough. i call it the 'ang ku' ball

grease the angku mould with oil (so that it doesn't stick). and fit in the ang ku ball into the ang ku mould. 

Flatten the surface. once its flatten, knock it out on a hard surface to get the moulded ang ku out of the mould

place the moulded angku on the banana left 

(don't forget to lightly grease the banana leaf 1st before putting the angku on top of it)

send it to steam for 5 mins over medium low fire.

TA-DA..!! my angku is ready...!!! doesn't it look yummy...  

Sephora Opening Party...

All customers were in for a surprise when they visited Sephora store in Paradigm mall last weekend. As they were having An opening party! The party is held on the 1st and 2nd of September. Customers were greeted by macho men distributing balloons to them. Not only that, they get to treat themselves for a cup of fresh popcorn from the popcorn cart! and also indulging themselves with the hand pampering session  made available specially for them...

Doggies Party Of The Year !

I thrilled when I saw on my Facebook on the invites for MDDB dogs party on 31^st August 2012 at ‘SuperPetFans Pet Center’ in The Strand, Kota Damansara.. I was thinking how cool could this be…

When I reach there is was an eye-opener.. Personally I have never been into such a lovely pet center. Even the staffs are super friendly. They took us on a tour of their center before proceeding to the café for the party.. on this ground floor is the grooming center and also the pet supplies shop. A cozy shopping environment. You can get almost anything for your pets here. Next we went to the pet lodging area. The moment I enter the pet hotel (which i think is a more suitable word for it, is located on the 1^st floor), I was wondering if it’s for human or for pets, coz the deco is so lovely with chandelier lighting and comfy doggie bed for each room (it’s room ok.. NOT cages !). Trust me, if you place your pets here over the holidays, I am very sure your pets won’t feel stress or home sick at all. My god..even i also feel like staying there...

Isn't it a lovely place for your pet to stay while you away for holiday...

After that we proceed to the café which is located on the 2^nd floor of the premise. In this café they provide not only cooked meals for human but also special home cooked food for your pets. It’s like a human-pet buddies hang out area, where you get to read your book while your pets get to play at the playground created for them..Cool ler…!! Their pricing wise? Super affordable..serious..
