The Bulgogi Brothers

Another Korean Restaurant for Korean Food Fans

This restaurant have been around for quite sometime and i have always seen it while passing by e-Curve. There was once that i wan to try it out but my frenz told me that it was not nice (therefore it had deter me from trying it)
However last weekend i have decided to give it a try as we are running out of food choices in Curve (imagine i was in curve every weekend for dinner...how many restaurant is left to savor??).
But Korean food was never really my fancy.

For every order, they will serve a 'welcome food'...
this is apart from the famous cultural korean small side dishes
i know it looks very little.. i wish they will give more edamame next time

They serve oksusu cha (corn tea) which taste superb

This are their small side dishes.
The taste are very much localized for Malaysian liking which is good
i will rate this 7 out of 10

Their Haemul Gungjung Mandu is a must have item if you patronized Bulgogi Brothers.
It's so..so..so delicious !
i will rate this 10 of of 10

Their Korean pan cake is another must have item.
You wont even hesitate to order this dish if you are at Bulgogi Brothers..
Rating 9 out of 10
"the moment you enter the restaurant, you will see the chef doing this at the front open kitchen"
;D

Their Bibimbap is a little tasteless compare to rest.
Not much to my liking
i will only rate this 5 out of 10

I am not sure what is this dish call.. Its a stir fry chicken with topoki.
Quite delicious i must say...
My rate form this dish 7 out of 10

The price range for this restaurant is quite affordable. In total for dinner, we spend RM280 for 8 person. Wil definitely visit this place again if i have korean food cravings... =D

Sole Searching

An Event For Shoes Lover's

It was a boring Saturday morning and I was flipping through the newspaper as usual... Something caught my eyes. It was an ad for 'Malaysia International Shoe Festival' (MISF) at PWTC. In my mind, 'What the heck! Just go look-see look-see' since I am so free. So here is what I found at the fair..

You are greeted by this gigantic shoe at the main entrance of PWTC Hall.

There is also a wide display of Shoes Design For Competition. Below are some of the unique design by our promising upcoming designers in Malaysia.

This one.. to me it looks like the shoes for the modern "La Cha"
(from the famous Monkey God TVB series. His fiery wheels)

This I must say is serious unique..why i say so..?
Coz its a duo usage shoes in one...can you see it..
The top part is the 'slip on sandal' and the side part is the 'slippers'

This one is suitable for the 'Monkey God' Women version.

Maybe next time our Lion Dance troop can try to use this shoe design for the performance.
For an all Gals troop, maybe?? =D

Also on display is our Malaysia Biggest Sculpture Made of shoe laces. Created by The One Academy

Of coz not to forget our famous shoe designer "Jimmy Choo" Booth at MISF.
The grande booth design + the sound system really captures everyone there.

One of Jimmy Choo's creation on display.

It was quite a rewarding visit, as I manage to get myself a few items like YES 4G Huddle (yes..!! My new gadget ^_^), a few pairs of shoes and etc. Of course i also manage to catch a glimpse of Jimmy Choo having tea-a-tea inside the fair designated F&B session (i must say, he is a very down to earth man).

Quickie at Namoo On The Park

Welcome to Namoo...!!

You won't miss this restaurant when you see it in Publika. It's located smack right in front of The Main Entrance and on top of MPH. Namoo On The Park , with a cute cartoon character of the chef...
neh!! you wouldn't miss it.

It's a Korean dessert and cafe that serves authentic Korean delicacies with a slight twist of local flavors. Their ingredients are all freshly import from Korea and some are source locally. Their dessert is something you would die for..
.
Lovely and cute front entrance greeting you.

Cozy sofa area for those who plan to hangout for longer period to do some reading or works.

Down to earth indoor dining area.

If you have kids with you, you can opt to have your lunch or dinner at the outdoor dining area where its facing a playground. So that your kids can play while you watch them and enjoy your meals.

Their delicious pumpkin cake served with ice-creams.
p/s : don't look down on this piece of cake. It's very..very...very fulfilling. i was struggling to finish it for almost 2 hours. So be smart and get a friend  to share it with you

Oh...before i forget, they also have reminders on their serviette for the ladies
"There is hook under the table to hang your bag"
A pretty good idea for a duo usage of the napkin (besides wiping mouth ^_^ )

Fishy Come..Feast On My Feet !

Fish Spa Experience...

Fish spa have been around for quite sometime. I remembered when I first stumble upon the Fish Spa was while shopping in Sunway Pyramid. At that time i was quite skeptical to try it out for 2 reasons..One : Coz it's expensive and Two : Coz it's expensive also .. hehehe ^_^

During my recent visit to Bukit Merah Laketown Resort, I have found that they do have fish spa at the resort. To my surprise, it's not very expensive (compare when it was first started off).

We were directed to wash our feet before dipping our feet in the pool. Mmmh...I think they also scared that we drowned the fishes with our smelly feet =D

The species of the fish were known as Garra Rufa and its originated from Turkey. Half way through the fish spa process, we were wondering why the fish was running away from us.. then the lady operating the spa told us, to be quiet and the fish will come back.. True enough, they all starting to feast on our feet again after we silence ourselves.

It was a tingling sensation when the fishes nibble on our feet, especially at the bottom of our feet (it was really ticklish). It was not as scarrrry as it look..

However, there is thing to look out for when visiting a fish spa..
1. Make sure they have UV / infra-ray filters
2. Make sure you are not diabetic (coz sometime the fish might bite off some healing wound)

Guten Tag ! .. From Orang Utan Island Foundation

Chicky is here in Bukit Merah Orang Utan Island Foundation aka OUIF, to witness a memorable event. The MOU Signing Ceremony between OUIF and ANGKASA and MARA Sains Balik Pulau. Not to miss is also their Official New Tunnel Launch.

On a beautiful Monday morning, the event start off with a delicious breakfast at the resort cafe. May not be be healthiest but definitely tasty =D

Upon registration, we were given a door gift as usual. However this door gift is really special I must say. It's a clay water jar. According to my colleague, it's used to store water (I was thinking obviously..duh..) but she say the special thing is, this jar will keep the water cold at all time. Meaning even if you put in hot water it will turn cold and stay cold..(well ..I haven't tried it, but it definitely spark my interest to test it out)

We then adjourn to the jetty to board a ferry to take us to the OUIF island where the event to be held.

Once the VIPs have arrived, we start our tour into the viewing tunnel. The last me when I was here, the tunnel was only 100meter. Now with the extension of the new tunnel, the total tunnel length is 200meter.

Besides tat, they have also added a new feature. They now have a herb garden along the tunnel for visitors to get-to-know what is herbs and what are they meant for.

Finally, I saw my cute furry friends..

There is merchandise here for sale. Funds collected are to support the funding of the orang Utan research center. Please do bare in mind that OUIF is a welfare organization that love, help and conserve the orang Utan species from extinction.

Beside signing of the MOU, there is also staff award presentation and the celebration of the founder, Tan Sri Mustapha Kamal birthday. The OUIF staffs have secretly prepare a cake for his celebration..

Happy 64th Birthday Tan Sri.. @_@ opps! I ter-bongkar his age.. =D

It was a memorable trip and event... Thank you for inviting us.

3 things :Good, Quick and Cheap !

Yummy, Delicious Healthy Lunch Below RM10 !

I did this on friday for my breakfast and lunch coz i have used up my weekly budget... ^-^
Therefore i came up with this idea to try out a healthy meal (it has always been stuffed into my head by the radio 'the most healthy meal is home cooked meal')

Ingredients needed:
...2 eggs (50 cents)
...Pratha (RM 3.00)
...1 green capsicum (RM 1.90)
...1 big onion (40 cents)
...3 slice of cheddar cheese (RM 1.80)
...oyster mushroom (RM 2.20)
...Rice

Total Spend : RM 9.80

This is what i have bought from a supermarket nearby by home. I have it prepared in the night time for tomorrow morning usage.

So i make a little effort to wake up 1 hour earlier to prepare what i had in mind
and
Ta..Daaa..!! This is what i have created. =D
.

\/
Vegetarian Hot&Roll Wrap (consist of only onions, cheese and capsicum) for breakfast. Fried Capsicum, oyster mushroom, Onion and eggs served with rice for lunch.

Best of all... the ingredients that i bought not only make 1 portion of breakfast and lunch, BUT enough to make 2 portions of breakfast and lunch (1 for myself and 1 for my hubby). So my actual spend is RM 2.45 per meal.

Just like the famous chinese saying "pang leng cheng"

HaHaHa... this is my best discovery !!
