The Charity Marathon...

Me and my friends have decided to pay a visit to the charity homes during the recent "chap goh Mei" since we miss our annual charity Christmas party this year.

This is how it all started... Follow us through on our journey...

We received draws of charity homes in ang pow packets during Asia Work Chinese New Year gathering. Thank you Asia Work for giving us the opportunity to do good deeds.. The moment we receive the homes info, we started a fund raising. Within a short period of 3 days we manage to raise RM1350 (thank you to all the generous donors)

We went for a shopping galore in NSK Kuchai Lama to buy daily groceries for the homes. I must say, the service level for NSK was pretty good. Their staff was friendly and helpful. Keep up the good service

The stuffs that we bought... Luckily we got a Hilux to transport all the stuff..

We arrive at Ti-Ratana home in Salak South. I have always heard of this home but never really been here before. In this home, there is more than 120 children and about 100 old folks. Really a big family under one roof.

We unload our donation stuffs at the admin office while we wait for them to count and keep record before we proceed for a guided visit of the vicinity.

The moment we arrive, we were greeted by happy and adorable children. All eager to meet us. Well of course we were under attack by them (coz we were holding lollipop meant for them. But they were very polite and actually ask if they could have it)

Finally the caretaker explain to the children the reason to lining up In queue so that every will have their share. The children greeted us in groups in mandarin "gong xi fa Cai, Shen Ti jiang Kang. Sheh Sheh Kor-Kor and jie-jie". It was so touching

Happy and excited children enjoying their lollipop and at the same time crave for attention (all of them wanted us to carry them). How can we resist.. They are so cute and innocent.

Some of them even teaches my friend how to sing their song and wanted to share their candy with us.

They even know that they need to wash their hand after finishing with their lollipop. Trust me ..I have never been able to finish a lollipop by myself and these kids here can really finish them up..

The children that we visited are aged between 2months old - 11 years old. The older children are at another wing of the home.

After spending an hour with them, we left with a heavy Heart. Promising to come back and visit them. During the drive home, I keep thinking...how can some parents are so cruel. How can they leave behind such cute and adorable child. I mean for the mom, they actually gone through 10 months of pregnancy and child labor. How could they do it... Don't they feel their heart tear during the separation?are they such cold hearted? ..

Nevertheless, I must praise and thanks Ti-Ratana administrator, caretakers and volunteers for the times, love and patience show to the children and the old folks. Without them, the children and old folks will be so lost and who knows what could befall to them.

Clear Fine Gel .. Coming to Rescue

Exfoliating At Ease…

Recently I cameacross this interesting product on the online while I was googling for face scrubs thatis suitable for me. You see.. I have sensitive and season thematic skin (coz at different times of the year, my skin willexperience different skin condition). So it’s very hard for me tofind a product range that is suitable all year round. Anyhow I have resolve tohaving 3 types of skin care range at home to suit my needs (mainly are oilyskin, dry, and sensitive). However I can’t solved my face scrub or exfoliatingissue(I mean.. I can’t be buying andstoring 3 different scrubs at home. Moreover it’s not something that I can useddaily and it will expire or contaminated easily)

I have always heardof gel exfoliating but I have never really tried one before as I don’t believein gel that can scrub off dead skin with seed particles. For sure seed based scrubsare not my favourite coz it tends to hurt my skin a lot and it will leavepatchy red spots.. which I despise a lot.

However I cameacross this product and it caught my attention. It’s called the Clear Fine Gel. What caught my attention isthat it says that it’s suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin.

“ClearFine Gel is a product from Japan. It’s a water based and natural (without fragrance, colourant and preservative) face exfoliator that is gentle to skin. It aids inremoving blackheads, pro clogging debris and old dead skins and hence help to regulatesnew skin development for brighter skin complexion. Best of all… because of itsgentleness, it can be used on a daily basis”

Like usual, before Itry anything, I went on to gather more info on the ingredients that it used inthis product. Below is what I found…

Gylcerin : a natural humectant that attracts moisturefrom the air to the skin to keep it supple at all time

Mulberry root extract : a natural extract from thewhite mulberry tree that can be found in native china and has been used overthe centuries for its medicinal properties. In skin care it will help to lightenage spots and uneven skin tone

Hydrolyzed collagen : contains 8 out of 9essential amino acids that the skin needed to maintain moisture and smoothness

This is the interesting one…
Sodium hyluronate : a sodium salt of hyluronicacid which is found mainly in the dermis of young skin. Hyluronic acid maintainskin volume or fullness by holding on to water. However it will decrease as weage and skin loses it youthfulness. As an anti aging treatment, it’s usuallyinjected into the dermis to restore facial fullness. Sodium hyluronate is powerfulhumectants that attracts and holds on to moisture. Thus product that containssodium hyluronate help to replenish the hyluronic acid lost due to sun exposureand aging process. Keeping it supple, moisture and keeps fine line and wrinklesat bay.

Glycospingolipids : Rice based lipids that are similar to the skin’s naturallipids. They hydrate, provide moisture retention capabilities and strengthenskin’s natural barrier.

Other than that, it also contains beneficial ingredientssuch as lysolecithin , hydrogenated lecithin, isopropyl alcohol (which willhelp reduce acne by drying excess oil and also soothes tired skin) andcetrimonium Chloride (helps to disrupt surface microorganisms)

After all the reading and info from googling.. I finallymade a purchase of a bottle of Clear Fine Gel for myself. Its price at RM69 (notexpensive compare to other brands in the counter) and FREE delievery.

My first experience with it was fantastic. All I haveto do is wash my face clean-clean, pat it dry with towel and then squeezeamount of ClearFine Gel into my fingers (about the size of 5cent coin) and messageit in circular motion until you see white greyish particles are form (depending on skin. Coz for my hubby, the particlesis brown and yellow). The particles are actually the dead skins. Once theparticles is form, I proceed to wash it off. I found my skin seems brighter andnot as dull as a few minutes ago. To my surprise, it didn’t leave any red patchyspot and itchiness.

Finally I have found a face exfoliator that suits meperfectly.

if you are skeptical about it, you can always request samples from them to try out before purchase a full size item. For more info of the products, please visit

Watch Over Me ..

Another Cool App For Ladies…

This morning, while I was having breakfast and reading the newspaper (well.. I don’t usually read the papers. Somehow I pick up the papers today) something caught my attention in the newspaper.

Dated sometime back, we were alerted about abduction cases in shopping malls. The most shocking one is the case of Candy (the gal who were abducted in BSC and was murdered), Chin Xin Ci (the gal who was abducted in The Curve Mall, but lucky enough to break-free and safe herself).. Well not everyone is as lucky or smart as her to be able to identify the run-away opportunity.
In view of her traumatic experience, she partner up with an app developer to create a safety and smart app “Watch Over Me” for all mobile users. It’s an app where it will alert the users emergency contact person if he/she is in danger. To me is like “Wow this is Interesting..!!” . After I finish reading her news, I quickly took my Ipad and download the app and decided to give it a try today while I drive to work.

The moment I open the app, it requires me to register (for first time users)… Of course you can opt to register via FB or manual.

After registering, I was directed to this page.

As I read through. I realize that the FOC version of a trial one for 7 days, the little me was thinking “of course la… you expect it to be free whole life meh.. if yes, how is the app developer going to survive oh..”

Well users can opt to upgrade their app for more features and function. Well for the safety view, i think their subscription fees are quire reasonable.

The first thing you must do is register your emergency contact person.  Advise: please make sure you select the person that will check email and phone at all time. Imagine it’s an emergency and your life is depending on it. (Of course please remember to inform that person you have put him or her as your emergency contact). What I did was I put my hubby (my trusted person) as my emergency contact and mana-tau he never check his mail. Not very smart of me thou.

After that proceed to check in the details and the time needed to arrive at your destination. No worries, if you are stuck in a jam half way through, you can always extend the watch over time (smart le the app..!!).

WoLLA....!! Off You go...!!

Of course when I reach my office, I have forgotten (maybe did it on a purpose.. I suppose) to check in to confirm my safety arrival. After 2 hours later my hubby called me asking about this weird email stating the below…

Well according to my hubby, he didn’t receive any SMS except for email.. maybe because I used an Ipad not an Iphone so that’s why the SMS function doesn’t work. But overall, this app is a MUST HAVE app in our phones.

Oh..!one more thing. Once you register, they will send you an email and explain to you other function of “Watch Over Me”. One of it is the FB alerts (if you connect the account with your FB). It will automatically update you FB status to request for help. Chun le…!!!

Nevertheless, we must never take lightly of our safety. Although this app can track where is our last location, but what happen to us.. we will never know.

Food Talk Restaurant

As the name suggested, let's us talk bout food and fun...!

Nestled in a bustling community of Kuchai Lama, We stumble upon this restaurant while we were hunting for food with a friend after the shopping spree in NSK. A pretty interesting place for hanging out (you know..just chilling out and catching up on the who, what, when, where, how). Upon entering the restaurant, we was greeted by nice and friendly staff.
The food menu I must say was an eye opening. Don't believe it, try reading on some of the food titles in the pictures below..
Introducing the "Ham Dan Fish Chop Rice".. It's actually salted egg fish chop rice..The food title was a direct translation from Chinese. So how would you read and perceive it?
Next is the "One Ding Before Out"... Hahaha..it's actually a famous Hong Kong instant noodle reference..also another direct Chinese translation by the owner of the restaurant
Even some of their drink have cute names.. Like their FT Special... The drinks are called First Love Hot or you can have the cold version known as First Love Cold. ...mmh.. I am just wondering if many couples come here to express their love stage mood <3 <3
If you are feeling down, come here and try their tea meals...it will definitely cheer up the rest of your evenings..order a tea meal and humor yourself with some of the games on the shelf (they are sitting there waiting for you to unleash them)

Nevertheless the food and drinks here are reasonably price...we ordered a lap Cheong fried rice, Kung Poh pork rice, butter chicken rice, vanilla Mille crepe, 4 first love hot and 2 cups of h2o and the bill came up to RM 61.00 (isn't that cheap)
